The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 8 a.m. on August 24 regarding the Russian invasion.
In total , 231 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours. Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces' aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck eight areas of enemy manpower concentration, six drone control points, five artillery pieces, one control point, one communications node, two multiple launch rocket systems, and one radar station of the Russian invaders.
Yesterday, the aggressor carried out 95 air strikes using 299 guided bombs, used 10,747 kamikaze drones for strikes, and carried out 3,110 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including 29 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The settlements of Neskuchne, Bachivsk, Rogizne, Ulanov, Sopych, Korenyok, Shpyl, Budky, Volfyne, Yastrubshchyna in the Sumy region; Kryvusha and Semenivka in the Chernihiv region were subjected to enemy artillery fire. The enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Tovstodubov.
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, our defenders stopped six enemy assaults. At the same time, the aggressor carried out one air strike, dropping one aerial bomb, and carried out 95 shellings of the positions of our troops and settlements.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, Ukrainian units repelled nine enemy attacks. The invaders tried to advance towards Okhrimivka, Symynivka, Kruhly, Zarubinka, and in the Vovchansk area.
In the Kupyansk direction, there were 16 enemy offensive actions towards Radkivka and Kupyansk.
Attempts to penetrate our defenses were repulsed in the Lyman direction, where the occupiers attacked 14 times towards the settlements of Stepove, Chervonyi Stav, Druzhelyubivka, Novyi Mir, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Novoselivka.
In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy carried out eight assault operations in the areas of the settlements of Ozerne, Kryva Luka, and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out one offensive operation towards Yurkivka.
35 attacks were recorded in the Kostyantynivka direction. The invaders carried out assault operations in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Toretske, Sofiivka, Dovha Balka and towards the settlements of Stepanivka, Pavlivka, Rusyn Yar and Vilne.
The enemy carried out twenty attacks in the Pokrovsky direction. The occupiers tried to advance towards the settlements of Bilytske, Novy Donbas, Svitle, Serhiivka, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Matyasheve, Novopavlivka and in the areas of the settlements of Dorozhne and Udachne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders carried out one attack towards Novy Zaporizhzhia.
In the Hulyaipil direction, the invaders attacked the positions of our defenders six times. The enemy tried to advance towards the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, Hirke, and in the areas of the settlements of Zaliznychne and Tsvitkove.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance towards Pavlivka and Novoandriyevka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Dnieper direction.
No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the invaders were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
By the way, last day the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1490 people . Also, one tank, nine armored combat vehicles, 68 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, 16 ground robotic complexes, 1761 unmanned aerial vehicles, 554 units of automobiles and six units of special enemy equipment were neutralized.
